Find and fix a problem

Fix AI video flicker, warping and sudden changes

Flicker, shape drift and a sudden cut need different fixes. First name the failure and find when it starts. Regenerating the same overloaded prompt can repeat the same problem.

Fictional living room with window frames, wall edges and floorboards to inspect
Static visual reference · not a generated video result
What to look for in this example

This teaching scene provides straight window and room lines for discussing perspective and composition.

Trace floor, wall and frame edges across the image. It is not a measured property record or a before-and-after expansion test.

Decide whether the clip is usable

Scrub frame by frame around the first failure, then play at normal speed. A defect visible only on a pause and a distracting jump during playback deserve different editorial decisions.

If the first attempt misses

Higher resolution is not a general repair for incorrect motion. If a section is unusable, regenerate a simpler shot or trim around it; do not describe invented details as recovered reality.

01

Choose the source for this shot

Keep the source and settings beside the failed clip. Mark whether the source already has blur, repeated texture or hidden edges; a generated defect may begin with missing evidence.

02

What should move?

Brightness pulsing: simplify light changes. Bending geometry: reduce camera travel. Extra limbs or objects: reduce the subject action. An unwanted cut: remove sequential scene descriptions.

03

Where should the camera be?

Test a shorter, simpler version with a fixed camera to isolate the defect. Keep orientation and resolution unchanged initially so you can attribute the improvement to the revised motion.

IN PRACTICE

Work through a practical example

01

Choose the next move

Keep a clip if its flaw can be removed without changing the intended meaning, such as trimming an unstable tail. Regenerate or replace it when the central face, product fact or main action is wrong. Faster editing should not be used to hide a misleading product or identity change.

02

Make the first version

Watch once at normal speed, then pause near the failure. For extra limbs, inspect whether a requested turn exposes hidden anatomy. For drift, compare fixed landmarks. For a cut, look for wording that introduces another place or event. Change only that part of the next request, then compare the same moment instead of choosing by a new attractive opening.

03

Have these ready

Keep the original photo, exact submitted prompt and selected settings together. Identify the first moment the problem appears. Separate three observations: the subject changes shape, the camera moves unexpectedly, or the clip cuts to another scene.

A starting prompt for this scene

A vague starting request

Fix all the glitches and make it perfect.

A concrete version to adapt

Identify one failure and remove its likely cause. A narrower next request is easier to evaluate than a promise of general perfection.

Copy it or open it in the workspace to edit. Replace the subject details to match your own source.

Use the reference interior. Keep the camera fixed and the furniture stationary. Only a small visible curtain edge moves very gently. Constant daylight, straight wall and window lines, a quiet continuous shot without scene changes.

Writing example; adapt it to your reference. This is not a claim that these words guarantee an output.

Questions for this project

Should I keep retrying the same prompt?

Another result may differ, but repetition alone does not address an unclear source or contradictory action. Set a small testing budget, record one change and stop when the source cannot support the requested view. Each new submission needs its own current credit review; a failed creative idea is not the same as a failed generation task.
